5:00 PM @ Douglas Scrub CampsiteCamps

LEGACY Father & Son GENTS Camp is for fathers* and their sons aged 8-12. It will be full of games, battles, stories, fireside chats and plenty of bonding time (check out the program for details). You'll also be bringing and cooking your own food (yes, you heard that right... bacon and eggs for brekkie...!)

The main aim of the camp is to help fathers become clear on what type of legacy they want to pass on to their sons and what what type of meaningful activities will help them do that (see this Philosophical Foundation for a helpful background on our belief and value framework, including the language of 'The Hero's Journey').

There'll be fireside conversations for the dads (when the boys are in bed) on fatherhood (led by Andrew Lines (The Rite Journey), how to help our boys resist sexual temptation / porn and much more. The camp is being led by Hamilton McNicol (SUSA State Youth Coordinator) and David Buxton.

Further information and registrations here.

Cost: $50/person (BYO food).

* Father figures welcome if you are involved and committed long term. Boys with absent fathers desperately need other good men to step in.
