This morning we start a new 3-week series on Building One Another Up, a key part of our vision statement.

Join us as this week as we look at Life Groups.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

This week's Questions for Reflection are:

  1. Have you been a part of a life group? What has been good and what’s been challenging about being in a regular small discipleship group?
  2. Do you experience the temptation to live your Christian life separately from other Christians? What is the benefit of doing life together for your faith, and for the church’s witness to Jesus?
