Discipleship Pathways

At CoroUniting, we believe discipleship is the lifelong process of being made more like Jesus and helping others do the same. Discipleship is not a programme or a series of steps to complete. Rather it is a lifelong journey of being formed by Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and joining in the mission of Jesus.

Because people grow in different ways and at different seasons, we speak about pathways rather than stages. These pathways are not linear or compulsory. Rather, they are environments that help us intentionally pursue growth as disciples.

Sunday Gatherings
We gather as one church family for worship, prayer, preaching, communion, and encouragement. Here we are reminded of who God is, who we are in Christ, and the mission to which we have been called. Here we are formed by the Word, gathered around Christ, and sent into His mission.

Discipleship Communities
Discipleship Communities are our primary environment for relational discipleship. While we know not every person in our church will participate in a group at every season of life, our hope is that as many people as possible experience this kind of intentional Christian community.

These communities become where people are known, Scripture shapes everyday life, prayer becomes normal, gifts are discovered, leaders are developed, and disciples learn to make disciples. Quite simply, they are where the church increasingly becomes family.

Discipleship Trios
Discipleship Trios provide opportunities for smaller, more intentional environments of encouragement, prayer, accountability, and spiritual growth. People may participate in a Trio for a season and then step into another season of discipleship.

Discipleship Partnerships
Discipleship Partnerships are intentional, time-bound mentoring relationships where one believer invests in another’s growth and development. These focused seasons provide encouragement, wisdom, support, and accountability, with clear beginnings and endings that allow people to celebrate growth and discern next steps, with the intention of releasing people into greater maturity rather than creating dependency They may focus on spiritual formation, ministry or leadership development, navigating a season of life, or simply taking faithful next steps in following Jesus.

Discipleship Rhythms
Every disciple needs personal rhythms that cultivate a life with Jesus. Scripture, prayer, worship, generosity, service, Sabbath, and other spiritual practices help us remain deeply rooted in Christ. No two disciples will practice these rhythms in exactly the same way. Each person develops rhythms appropriate to their season, personality, and calling.
